License terms

1. Definitions
“Template” means the source code, design files, assets and documentation you download after buying a ShipKits product. “End Product” means a website or application you build with the Template. “You” means the person or company that bought the license.
2. What every license grants
When you buy a license, ShipKits grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use and modify the Template to create End Products, under the limits of the license you bought. You may change the code and design as much as you like.
Licenses are per buyer. A company license covers its employees and contractors working on that company's projects.
3. Personal license
You may use the Template to create one (1) End Product that you or your company own. The End Product may be commercial: you can sell your own product or service through it.
You may not use a Personal license to build End Products for clients or other third parties. For that, buy a Commercial license.
4. Commercial license
You may use the Template to create an unlimited number of End Products, for yourself or for clients. You may transfer a finished End Product to a client, who may then use and modify that End Product without buying their own license.
You may use the Template in a software product sold to end users (for example a SaaS application), as long as the end users can't extract and reuse the Template itself.
5. What no license allows
You may not resell, sublicense, share or redistribute the Template, in original or modified form, as a template, theme, starter kit, UI kit or design asset, whether paid or free.
You may not publish the Template's source code in a public repository. Private repositories are fine.
You may not use the Template, or parts of it, to build a product that competes with ShipKits (for example a template marketplace or a website builder offering the Template).
6. Third-party components
Templates use open-source packages such as Next.js, React and Tailwind CSS. Those packages are covered by their own licenses (mostly MIT), which you can find in each package's repository.
7. Updates and termination
Your license includes all future updates of the Template you bought. If you breach these terms, your license ends and you must stop using and delete the Template. End Products already delivered to clients under a valid Commercial license are not affected.
If a refund is issued, the license is revoked and you must delete all copies of the Template. Questions about your use case? Email hello@getshipkits.com before you buy.
